    Question ALFA Wi-Fi Adapter issues[HELP]

    Here's the situtation, overall.

I need to connect to a -86PWR WEP AP
I can barely connect to the AP, but still reachable w/luck.
I bought an ALFA WIFI Adapter w/smallest antenna. (Hoping to boost the reception to a usable level.)

In Windows/BT5R2/Kali, I'm able to see 3-4 APs w/bad signal. <- With ALFA
    In Windows/BT5R2/Kali, I'm able to see >20 APs w/good-bad signal. <- Integrated Intel Wireless Wi-Fi 6200AGN Adapter

Basically, I get a WAY weaker reception with my ALFA antenna.

    My questions is the following:
    Is the issue:
    1. Normal?
    2. Hardware related?
    3. Software/Firmware related?
    4. Driver related?

Any tips/tricks/solutions would be INCREDIBLY appreciated.

You probly got a fake. Type airmon-ng into terminal and post what you see. Also, which model is it?

Try turning off your internal wifi adapter - Sometimes that can cause problems
