Raspberry PI wireless USB device that actually works

    Hi all-

i just spent the last 2 days going thru threads to get my Edimax EW-7811Un USB wi-fi device to work on my WPA wireless network - with no luck.

I have a presentation at my school on the raspberry PI and Kali coming up and i really need to get wireless working. Is there a wi-fi USB device that just works with Kali "out-of-the-box". I'd gladly buy another one to get over this hurdle.

    Any help appreciated!

Got this working. Re-flashed the image and connected via HDMI (instead if small composite TV) and saw for the first time the wi-fi icon in upper right hand corner. Clicked on it and picked my SSID and entered passcode and it came right up, duh!
