I've used BT5R3 in the past with much joy, but now I'm moving onto using Kali but I'm having trouble assigning(ifconfig'ing) my Alfa interface from the iwconfig.
My internal wireless card gets assigned the default wlan0 for a start, and despite using the correct wlan interface number for ifconfig or airmon-ng, it errors that there is so such device/interface.
Is there anyway to override my internal wireless so it just recognizes my USB alfa? Or am I just missing something and I don't need to do that at all? I've tried ifconfig wlan0 down to kill the internal intel card, but then my alfa either just disappears or still doesn't assign.
