Spend half of yesterday, I finally got Kali installed on a Windows 8.1 laptop. It was working successfully, but I was not able to boot to Windows; os-prober, update-grub failed to do anything, manully adding entries did not work as Windows is not in the /boot/EFI tree anywhere. So I turned to boot-repair.

According to boot-repair (http://paste.ubuntu.com/7295236), grub2 upgrade was successful... And it even showed Windows as being there. However, I can no longer boot into Kali... And based on the boot-repair, it looks like Windows was not added to grub, even though it acknowledged its presence.

I also tried to do the MBR repair, but same issue; destroys grub.

Any help would be highly appreciated as I am at wits end.

Thank you.
