Kali sees floppy disc drive but I can't access the disk

Hi all,

I've brought a floppy disc drive for my laptop which of course runs Kali. Before you ask I brought it becuase I like old tech and I plan to use it to store small programs I write in python etc.

When I plug the floppy dive in, kali sees it but I can't access it i.e. I double click on it and I can't open it.

I've looked on other forums and tried what others have done but so far no luck. None of the tutorials were Kali, they were Ubuntu based.

Do you have any luck using other floppy drive model?

No I had the same issue no matter what drive I used. I did finally get it going though

If you're using kali in a virtual machine that's why , The driver may recognize it but not allowed to use it on kali , sorry :/

Are you using a virtual machine or hard drive install/USB?
