apt-get autoremove removed network interfaces and gnome

    Hi all,

My Kali laptop just notified me that there were 78 unused packages on my system that could be conveniently removed with apt-get autoremove. Unfortunately I did not bother to read the actual packet list, and after a reboot the drivers for my network interfaces and all of X.org have disappeared.

Did any one face the same issue?

Can I simply put the driver for the wired network interface on a USB key and from there recover the rest of the system? I still see the network card in lspci.

    Any help would be appreciated!
