Hey all,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question and if it isn't my apologies. I am currently using Kali as my main Linux distro and have a requirement to use the Evolution mail client. The issue being is that the stupid thing is 3.4 and has a bunch of issues when it comes to syncing calendar events and the like ie: calendar just doesn't work at all when it comes to exchange. I know boo microsoft products but work requires it. Either way, point is that a newer version of Evolution fixes these issues as well as a lot of slowness issues. I tried just updating the Evolution mail client itself but there are a lot of dependency issues that I would have to work through. Debian Jessie has the latest version already in its repos so I was wondering if I added all of the repos for Jessie to Kali and upgraded the underbelly to that version how much would it break if anything? I know it's generally frowned upon so I'm asking before I do it and break **** and have to re-install everything all over again.
Thanks
