How do I install Realtek firmware for wireless?

I just reinstalled Kali but now I can't connect to my wireless router.
Wicd network manager says there are no wireless networks found.
And iwconfig shows this:

root@kali:/# iwconfig
eth0 no wireless extensions.

lo no wireless extensions.

root@kali:/#

Can someone please give me a simple solution to make my Wi-Fi work? I downloaded the firmware files but I can't install it.

Do you need a firmware? For which card?
