Does anyone knows how to write/make an application/program?

Premise
There are many interesting scripts here. But I find that invoking/starting them is a pain.

The program
The application will basically look for scripts in the root(Home) folder, and give the operator the choice between them.

So if anyone knows how to do this(I don't have a clue) and is up to the challenge, I for one would be grateful.

Hi Quest.

You can start writing some simple scripts in bash. At least for me (I'm a hobbyist linux user) was the fastest and easiest way. Web is full of informations about bash scripting, so you can start from simple scripts to more advanced ones.

Hi Nick and thank you for the pointer!

To be honest I have no intentions of learning how to write this app. I simply don't have the time to do so. That being said I'm sure that there are folks out here who know how to create such a program. This topic is just an idea to any members of the community that already knows how to create programs, and happens to think that it would be useful to have a 'script launcher', helping us all in the process.

Any takers?
