Hi,

I'm running Kali from an USB drive. Whenever I install Kali (from boot or from live mode) the installation hangs at 'Starting up the partitioner - Scanning disks 50%'. This is caused by the USB drive being present during this part of the installation process. As suggested in other threads I found Googling this problem, I tried removing the USB drive before the partitioning process and that works but the installation than hangs in a later part because I had removed the USB drive. I also tried disabling AHCI in my bios but no luck either.
This is a uITX case so I have no room for a dvd drive and can't boot from dvd.

Any suggestions to get my partitioning process working?

Thanks
