Hello, I'm proud to be a new user on Kali community. I'm French so sorry for my English
I start an install for Kali on my external hard drive. I use the GUI installation without problem and add grub on this external hard drive
still with the install wizard. X crash during my boots so I remove gdm3 to my rc*.d ( with chkconfig).
When to debug, when I try the following command :
/etc/init.d/gdm3 start (Black screen freeze with an underscore on the left top on my screen, and no logs)
I did the following actions in all any combination possible to try to find a solution but without results :
* Try bypass evdev loading on /usr/share/xorg.conf.d by creating /etc/X11/xorg.conf with Xorg --config
* Remove "nouveau" module
* Install nvidia
* I also decide to apt-get update + dist-upgrade my install, then :
/etc/init.d/gdm3 start (still the same problem)
xinit (go back to a tiny tty)
=> Only startx launch the desk but it seems to be partially loaded and my mouse and keyboard completely go wrong :
When I click on any key, my mouse and all the system freeze (reboot mandatory)
When I click with the mouse to a logo, nothing happens
==> I also have a look in /var/log/Xorg.log(.old)? and dmesg and syslogs log but nothing seems to be relative to my problem.
==> With a Live CD, I have not this problem
If someone have a solution to this problem, I will be very grateful to him.
