Useful to know these commands, but it didn't work for me..
root@kali:~# cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch

root@kali:~# echo OFF >> /proc/acpi/bbswitch
root@kali:~# cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch
0000:01:00.0 ON
root@kali:~#
Edit:
root@kali:~# glxgears

Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual
root@kali:~#
Had no idea that my Intel driver was broken!! Geez what a mess...
