    Hi all,

I am new to Kali and facing some problems during kali update. Following are my installation details

    Platform: VirtualBox 4.3.12
    Issue:

    apt-get sources.list:

    Err http://security.kali.org kali/updates Release

    Fetched 270 B in 0s (273 B/s)
    Reading package lists... Done
W: A error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: http://security.kali. org kali/updates Release: The following signatures were invalid: NODATA 1 NODATA 2

    W: Failed to fetch http://security.kali.org/kali-securi...pdates/Release

W: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

    I have tried following solutions:

    apt-get clean
    apt-get autoclean
then tried updating again. But still no success.

    Please provide me some solution.

Which mirror of the repo are you using?
This is auto selected based on your GeoIP.

Click on both of the links below:
    http - http://http.kali.org/README.mirrorlist
    security - http://security.kali.org/README.mirrorlist

    It will say something like:
List of best mirrors for IP address xxx.yyy.zzz.abc, located at 12.345679,-0.98765 in <COUNTRY>:
Found 1 mirror which handle this country:

    hxxp://ftp.domain.com/kali-security/README (na, prio 100)

Found 5 mirrors in other countries, but same continent (EU):

    hxxp://ftp1.domain.com/kali-security/README (na, prio 100)
    hxxp://ftp2.domain.com/kali-security/README (na, prio 200)
    hxxp://ftp3.domain.com/kali-security/README (na, prio 200)
    hxxp://ftp4.domain.com/kali-security/README (na, prio 100)
    hxxp://ftp5.domain.com/kali-security/README (na, prio 300)
    What mirror(s) are lisetd?

The issue appears to be because of some firewall/IP issues. I am getting the pub IP dynamically, and only in some IPs the issue seems to occur.
As the upgrade process is so slow, it is taking too much time.

    Thanks
    san
