Problems installing Kali on HP Pavilion dv7

I tried to install Kali 64 bit edition on a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. The system boots, but after selecting language (English) and Keyboard (German) the screen is blue, no installer box is visible. As I know from an installation on another machine, this installer box should appear. I even tried to set graphic mode to a proposed standard but without any effect. Does anybody know an appropriate solution? (Hint: The installation of a normal Debian image was successful).

I was having the same issue, as well.... dv7, too! Try plugging in a network cable and see what happens. It did the trick for me.
