if anyone wants to reproduce the above..

1. place a good .cap in root

2. cowpatty -r Xxxxxx.cap -c
that will produce the "good" return message.

3. wpaclean Xxxxxx22.cap Xxxxxx.cap
that will messup the output .cap for sure.

4. cowpatty -r Xxxxxx22.cap -c
that will produce the "bad" return message.

I've just tested cowpatty -r Xxxxxx.cap -c and wpaclean Xxxxxx22.cap Xxxxxx.cap, both appear to be working ok I think. LOL
Did you execute the commands in the correct order, wpaclean New.cap Old.cap.
