    forgotten encryped volume password

    OK I think I forgot my LVM password.. what are the options?

    Brute force it or start fresh.

    Hi g0tmi1k, thank you for your answer. The thing is, that I do remember how it begins and how it ends, however I'm not sure what I put in the middle. As I have not turned of my notebook for almost a month and was not requested to enter it I forgot a part of it. What tool can I use to bruteforce it? And any chance that this would work on a password that's about 20 symbols?
