Currently having some issues that I hope someone can shed some light on the subject. First I will report that both of these cards work out of the box. I had some of the same issues with the regulatory and txpower that I was able to resolve to a certain point. In order to resolve the txpower and reg issues I modded and installed the latest backports on my persistent Kali usb. What I can't figure out is why when I "make defconfig-rtlwifi" and "make && make install", my atheros card just disappears. I then tried to do the same for my atheros card and upon reboot it worked but then my Alfa card did not. I have searched and tried numerous thing but just can't figure it out. Is there any reason I can't have two backport drivers running? What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any help.
