CDROM Check Fails, Can't do install from Live

So I'm using a USB install on a Windows 8 x64 machine with UEFI boot. I used YUMI to put Kali on my usb, and I have legacy mode enabled. I can do a live boot into Kali, but if i try to run Install Kali Linux from there, in the bottom left corner of the screen it says "Opening Install Kali Linux" for around 15 seconds then goes away and nothing happens. From the main boot menu, I can choose Install Kali and it'll boot into the installer that way. However, directly after the language configuration is the CD-ROM check which fails every time. I've tried redownloading Kali 3 times and nothing helped, any advice?

I dont know if YUMI is good or not. But i have had success with Universal Usb Installer program. Google about it and you will get it. Watch some tutorials on youtube on how its used to mount kali.
