My laptop setup is W8 with Symantec full disk encryption (FDE) and I now want dual boot Kali.
I could just scoop out a 50gb partition from HDD and try to install Kali on it, but how would that work if the partition is still FDE? I'm afraid...

Secondly, totally unrelated, would Kali work well on a external SSD (would it be much better than VM/USB)?
