Nexus 7 hangs in boot after rooting the device

I follow the guide and after rooting, it hangs on the four circles at the start, does someone know what to do?

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried the installer ? Make sure you are flashing the right version of image on your device.

I had the same issue, Nexus 2013 (Wi-Fi) hung at boot!
I was using the correct FW and everything, it seems to not like my Tablet.
Booting to the recovery the system reported weird errors like no space remaining on device, and unable to find system folders etc!

Here is the fix! for this issue, seems to be related to the installed android version!

Go download the original firmware for yout tablet from: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

    I specifically used this version (2013 Wi-Fi): https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aos...y-4f77b811.tgz

    Once downloaded extract it.

    cd into the directory razor-jss15q

There is a script in there called flash-all.sh, ignore it and do the following:

Press power up and volume down to start your tablet to boot into recovery.

    On kali run the following:

    nexus-fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-flo-flo-03.14.img

    The console should echo:

    sending 'bootloader' (3911 KB)...
    OKAY [ 0.169s]
    writing 'bootloader'...
    OKAY [ 1.313s]
    finished. total time: 1.483s

    Then do:

    nexus-fastboot -w update image-razor-jss15q.zip

    The console will echo:

    archive does not contain 'boot.sig'
    archive does not contain 'recovery.sig'
    archive does not contain 'system.sig'

That's it, let the tablet restart into Android, (you will have to do a bunch of first time setup stuff)

Then repeat the Kali install from scratch. (things seem to be working for me now, just waiting on the kali install to complete.)

Hope this helps folk out who think they just bricked their tablet!

    Edit!

If you use the firmware I suggested from the site, Wi-Fi is broken! I have tried this again with the latest image for my Nexus and it is just fine.
Install 4.4.4 (KTU84P for my Nexus Wi-Fi 2013 model) instead, and follow the instructions above!

When you change bootloaders, you will need to 'reload' the bootloader (There is an option on the recovery screen to do this on the nexus) before it will accept the zip you install.

Get your factory firmwares for your Nexus from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Hi, I have tried and carefully follow your procedure and it turn out to be fine just like the output you have shown above after the command "nexus-fastboot -w update image-razor-jss15q.zip". However when it says rebooting... it stuck up with only a white google logo with a small white padlock below it and it does not boot up in android even after several attempts....PLEASE HELP

originally my nexus 7 2013 wifi hungs on fastboot mode when I did the last part of the prepare when I finished "./root-linux.sh" and stops there. I never seen even the big red android logo....Then when I reboot the nexus it stays in the white google logo and never boots up. So I tried restoring it with plazmatron procedure. It seems to be ok when I tried the procedure but when it reboots. it is the same thing it stuck on the white google logo...Please help how to restore my nexus for me to install the nethunter....

Try my utility I made: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...OS-X-and-Linux

Select your device, then select restore to stock. It has a bunch of capabilities, but it automates device recovery.
