    Kali 1.0.9a UEFI Boot Problem

    Hello,

having some troubles to start Kali Linux from usb with EFI!

    Situation:
    - notebook with efi v2.31
    - OS installed: Debian wheezy (lvm volume) & win8.1 in dual-boot with grub2

I've downloaded kali 1.0.9a iso, verified checksum and installed on my USB Flash 16gb with dd (dd if=kali.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=512k).

At the boot time when I select USB device to boot with UEFI it doesn't boot.

I've also tried to execute the /EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi from EFI Shell but USB wont boot.

    Any advices?

    Thank you,
    Lorenzo

    Same issue here.

I can guarantee that muts will be of no help. I opened a bug about his crappy method of creating a proper ISO layout, and he closed the bug without even commenting. The only way to boot Kali from USB is to make your own custom live image.

Hey muts...go ahead and ban me now. Thanks!
