USB image won't complete booting

Hi there,

I am from Ubuntu and LMDE and new to Kali, I installed the 64bit ISO image to USB flash to boot live on my Lenovo T440p i5 before install to hard drive, but none of the modes complete boot up not even the failsafe, they all halt at different stages, the best I can get is 'fail to fallback to Gnome....' something like that, any comment ?

Whatever you do...don't ask muts. He has no idea how to create a proper ISO image that supports UEFI booting.

Your best bet is to create a custom image, then make a usb installer from that.
