I have followed the documentation on the website and still can't see a file saved. To check to see if it worked, I make a leafpad document and save it to root.Usually just keyboard smash in the doc. After a little research after I executed the directions online ,I discovered that I forgot to flag as boot. I flagged it and still nothing. I am prompted for my passphrase , so the encryption works fine. Also, the partition that is suppose to be the persistence partition shows up on the desktop as "Unrecoginized." I took a look in the disk and saw that the " union" folder and the persistence.conf file was indeed inside. WHen in the boot process it mentions something about "Can't unmountevice is busy" Which seems like the case because like I said it is showing up on the desktop ,which doesn't seem right.
Everything about the operating system works fine, it's just nothing is saving despite SLOWLY following the directions. I am using a 1TB Seagate external hard drive as the usb and running on an ASUS Q550lf. If any other information is needed, I'd be happy to oblige.
