Kali Linux on Samsung Chromebook Crouton install

Greetings! Have had some minor experience working with kali on a regular PC, but recently got a chromebook and installed kali on it using crouton. The install "works" but I have a few questions I am hoping someone can help me with.

    1. I have issues installing some of the metapackages from the repositories. I understand that the barebones version of kali is installed to save HD space, so I am wondering if it is an issue of disk space, or something more.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kali-linux-full : Depends: acccheck but it is not going to be installed
Depends: autopsy but it is not going to be installed
Depends: binwalk but it is not going to be installed
Depends: cisco-torch but it is not going to be installed
Depends: dff but it is not going to be installed
Depends: enum4linux but it is not going to be installed
Depends: giskismet but it is not going to be installed
Depends: javasnoop but it is not going to be installed
Depends: passing-the-hash but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python-rfidiot but it is not going to be installed
Depends: siparmyknife but it is not going to be installed
Depends: sleuthkit but it is not going to be installed
Depends: suckless-tools but it is not going to be installed
Depends: vim-gtk but it is not going to be installed
Depends: w3af but it is not going to be installed
Depends: winexe but it is not going to be installed
Depends: xpdf but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

this is what I see when I run it. I am unable to get some of the other metapackages installed as well, such as pwtools, gpu, wireless etc. Any help identifying where I may have gone wrong would be great. I am comfortable with my install on my normal laptop, but would prefer to run everything off of this easily portable chromebook.

    2. When setting up Kali, I set my user name to something other than "root" is this okay? I use sudo -i to get down to the root level, the terminal looks like this : (kali)root@localhost:

    3. The ARM install is a little trickier than the normal USB boot or a persistant install, so any tips or tricks would be very helpful for anyone with experience running kali on chromebooks.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to being part of the community.

Not every package can run on ARM. The vim-gtk dependency seems kind of odd, that should definitely work. GPU and wireless are going to be pointless to run on there in crouton. GPU will be for the most part anyway, as the gpu tools typically mean nVidia or AMD/ATi video cards.

The easiest way to figure out why those dependencies don't work is to attempt to install them and see what is holding it back. Some of them simply aren't available on ARM (and don't make sense to be installed), and others won't work (the Chromebook kernel doesn't have the necessary patches, nor are all WiFi card drivers enabled.

Kali is definitely meant to run as root, if you know what you're doing, then using a different user is okay.

Which Chromebook is this? We offer them for the older ones, but currently, the Tegra based chromebook doesn't have an image, nor does the Chromebook2 - I'm working on them, but I have no ETA on when they will be working/released.
