I have installed Kali linux and can boot into Kali.The problem is that I have a very dim login screen. I can adjust the brightness by pushing the brightness keys but after a reboot will revert back to a dim login screen.The graphics processor is a Intel GMA X3100 but in the system settings the Graphics processor is listed as a Intel 965GM.The screen is sharp and bright afer login just dim at login.I have tried editing grub acpi setting but still getting a dim login screen.
