Failure with LVM Encrypted install on HP DV6 with 64bit Kali.

My problem is simple to explain but after days of research it seems like I may be missing something. I have been able to install simply using the GUI and a single partion but what I would like is to have the HDD encrypted. When I try to install it choosing the LVM encrypted option it errors at the end around 8%. I have burned multiple copies and made sure to verify each DVD with the provided SHA1SUM. I figure that maybe if I tell you all what I have you may be able to shed some light on how I can get past whatever it may be that is stopping me. I will provide the info I have on hand and any that you guys request. Thanks again.

Not sure if this helps. Using encryption can be difficult for a few purposes other than basic storage.

    Have you tried:

Using gparted to split the HDD into 2 partitions, one encrypted, installing the Linux on the non-encrypted partition and once complete mount the encrypted partition then redirect the home or document folder to open in the encrypted partition; (for example)

    | HDD 1 Kali, boot, dev, ect |||| HDD 2 Docs, other |

Its easy in away. On windows (washes mouth out for using such blasphemy haha) you just right click on the icon and change the path of the destination folder, i.e create a shortcut

    Hope that helps.

Hey L-Dog, tried it all and then started from scratch. Found out just a couple of hours ago that the DVD I used was one the wife picked up on the fly at some dollar store. I bought a pack, re verified and installed and now all is good. Was going to post an update when I was done with other things but saw you responded. Good looking out mate and I will surely keep it in mind with any new installs.
