I have a win8.1 tablet that I'm attempting to install Kali on. It has an internal eMMC hard drive, GPT partitions, UEFI, and Secure Boot disabled. that I want to run dual-boot Kali and Win8.1. I'm running into an issue with the debian-installer that actually installs Kali.

If I boot Kali Live it sees all my existing hard drive partitions and can see all the files contained on them.

If I boot Kali Install it never sees the drive or partitions.

If I boot Kali Live and run the Install Kali from the menu (which launches the debian-installer-launcher), it sees my hard drive as 1 large disk with no partitions.

What is causing this? I don't understand how Kali Live can see the partitions but the Installer cannot.

I've spent a couple days troubleshooting and researching all kinds of things but nothing ultimately fixes it.

Ideas??
