Kali crushed the size of my flash drive?

I imaged kali to a 64 gig flash drive recently and started using it, learning it etc. Today, I was reading about the persistence options and wanted to create the partition to do so; but when I looked at the drive within kali, it claimed the size of the flash drive was only 2 gigs....hmmm I thought. So, I booted into windows and viewed the properties of the flash drive there...yep only 2 gigs. I then tried to format, where it said the size was 2 gigs. Did I just lose the remaining 64 gigs of space on this flash drive? If so, I won't be able to create a persistence partition obviously which kinda sucks .

  2. Sounds like a partition was made, possibly FAT16? Chances are the rest of the disk space is still there, just no configured partition.

You can use fdisk, or gparted to take a look to be sure, and adjust the partitions as nessisary.
