Kali Linus 1.1.0 Live Bootable USB - Startup freeze

    Hi,

I successfully created a Kali (kali-linux-1.1.0-amd64) Bootable USB Drive under OSX 10.9.5. using the terminal and the DD command.

When I restart to boot from the USB drive, the system freezes as soon as I select the USB (cursor won't move).
My only option is to turn off the computer.

I re-imaged my USB after unmounting it and the same problem occurs when I restart.

Does anybody know how to solve the problem and be able to start from my USB ?
Could the "bs=1m" in the terminal DD command, be responsible for this problem ?

    Hi CEC,
did you create the "persistence" Partiton ?
What happen if you choose the LIVE Option in Bootmenu ?
Do you use a PC or a MAC for boot the USB-Stick ?

If you are holding the option key to select the drive when booting back up, there's most likely 3 things you are seeing. I had this issue too. I would see my OSX drive, a drive that said windows and another drive I can't recall the name of (the second ones both being from my USB). My problem was solved by selecting windows and giving it a few seconds.
