[Help] Kali not booting without ethernet connection

Reccently installed Kali and when i boot it says :
    decompressing ELF
    booting kernal
or watever it says at first normaly but it just hangs there forever doing nothing exept when I have a ethernet cable plugged in to the computer from my router then it continues to boot

Edit1: a way to get around this i found in a different thread were you go into the boot options for Kali in grub and change "quiet" to "nomodeset" it works most of the time but i would like to know a permanate solution and/or why this Happens
