I downloaded VMware image by mistake. Is there a way to install it as bootable OS?

I downloaded VMware image by mistake.

I was confused by the drop down download menu at the Kali website. I didn't think there was a root download menu where the installable ISO images are. I thought the only ones available were VMware images.

Is there a way to install the VMware image as bootable OS?

I'm switching to Kali(Linux) as I'm having a legal dispute with Microsoft.

You will have to download kali again (one way or another).

You can use the VM image to generate your own ISO - but it will require downloading all the files/packages anyway.
If you wish todo that - http://docs.kali.org/development/liv...ustom-kali-iso
