I checked the forums Using and Troubleshooting, but i honestly believe my question belongs here.
I read the Mac/OSX/EFI links and i don't think my question belongs there either since i am not using EFI boot.
The reason i looked for other forums is because Kali installs fine, i just cannot boot headless afterwards. So here i go:
Mac Mini the first Intel version, so 32 bits.
During installarion i use rEFIt to boot from USB and install Kali from there.
Everything works as far as i can see.
Now, when i move the Mini from my desk where i have a monitor connected to my rack where i have no monitor connected the Mini won't boot anymore. Also on my desk, with monitor it boots, no monitor -> won't boot.
Did various Google searches and tried installing the Dummy VGA driver, change the xorg.conf and modify grub to boot in text mode, but this still no-go when booting without monitor.
So that's when i decided to post here.
Does anybody know how to boot Kali without monitor connected?
Early Mac mini Intel.
Kali version 1.1 32 bits.
Live CD installed from USB on to HDD.
Links to the same problem: many in the Ubuntu forums with all kinds of suggestions i tried but no solution. Eg. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1452600
Thanks,
Ton.
