As the caption states, I have some problems setting the txpower on my AWUS036NH (RT2870/RT3070).
It not possible to increase nor descrease the txpower. There isn't an error no matter what. If I tip
iwconfig wlan0 txpower 5000, there isn't any error message or any statement using dmesg.
I did the following:
ifconfig wlan0 down
iw reg set BO
iwconfig wlan0 channel 1
iwconfig wlan0 txpower 30
iwconfig wlan0
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
dmesg

Are there any kwown issues - I couldn't find any.
I tried the same in a virtual machine usng VirtualBox as well as in a stand alone installation.
In both setups I am facing the same issue.
