Kali Linux 1.1.0 and Alfa AWUS036NH

Hello,

I have just made a fresh installation of Kali Linux 1.1.0. However my Alfa AWUS036NH is acting strange. It gets recognized when plugged in. It acts slightly normal for a minute or less (the led light is bit weak). Connection to wifi is made and then it losses the connection.

I know for a fact my wifi is fine as I am able to use my phone and other wifi adapter to connect to it. The Alfa adapter also works fine in my laptop(Windows 7). However in Kali Linux- If I plug it out and plug it back in- it works fine again just for a minute.

This adapter used to work just fine in the previous versions of Kali Linux(just plug and play).

I am lost here on what to do. Please help. Thank you.

I have the same problem. I bought an Alfa AWUS036NH today and I can't get it working in kali 1.1.0 . I can't either got it working with archlinux kernel 3.18.3 and with wifislax kernel 3.12 .
I'm fully lost. I think that could be the kernel because I read all people get it working without problems in previous versions.

Mine acts a little funny, but after a little it goes back to normal .
or after I plug it back in and out for a couple minutes. it works
