how to disable the touchscreen?

hello,
im a fairly new user of linux, (need it for school though) so i just installed it on my laptop just the other day,
was supriced it even automaticaly installed the touch screen drivers, wich is also the bothering point, its dammaged at 5 points wich keep pressing constantly

ive tried

but assoon as i put xinput in the terminal it keeps replying " command not found."

coping this is a **** with the touchscreen undoing the selection al the time

once you figure out the name of the driver, doing a "modprobe -r driver" should make the touchscreen stop responding. That's how i disable my webcams in all my linux boxes lol
