Legacy Programs and airmon-ng - a possible approach

MTeams is unable to test this approach as we are NOT using the newer version of aircrack-ng

However a possible simple solution ??May?? be found by replacing the newer airmon-ng with the older one temporarily. This would be far easier then rewritting hundreds of programs.

A simple script could do this.

You will need copies of the older airmon-ng

To test this approach open a terminal window and type

    locate airmon

Rename all the newer versions to something like airmon-ng.new

Copy the older versions in place and test.

Run your programs and see how things function.

When you want to revert back the newer version erase the older version and rename the files back to their original names.

Or just use the older version which for us runs just fine thank you.

Again we have not tested this approach but will explore it when he newer version of forced on us.

Some programs may function fine like reaver while the newer aircrack-ng version may or may not function. You will have to test to find out.

I worked that at a few days ago LOL, I've already fixed FrankenScript's airmon issue.
It will now work with all versions of airmon, aircrack, reaver, bully and so on. :-)

    Cheers for the info anyway.

Did you simply recode into the new airmon-ng output? The problem we are having is how to get a single device to support multiple monitors. The recode is just boring. If we remember you removed the reset router function from your program. Any ideas.

Oh i see what you're talking about now, the most simple and quickest solution is to use airmon-ng instead of airmon-zc.
I haven't had any issue's running any of the tools as yet, but I haven't tried everything obviously. LOL
