Crashing and freezing few minutes after startup

I just instaleted kali linux on my laptop for the first time(Lenovo IdeaPad z580) but the system crashes after startup. Everything freezes and only the clock and mouse are working. I had some problems with the instalation two. Few times the instaler freezed and I had to start all over again. The linux Im trying to install is Kali Linux 64 bit 1.1.0a. Laptop parameters - Intel I3 - 2.3Ghz / 4GB RAM. And when i try to log from ctrl+alt+f1 i get this error "DSC_0159.jpg"

I know this is super late but I have this same exact problem after instaling nvidia drivers. The desktop works fine for a few minutes then crashes. No one at all knows what to do, I think there's a problem in kali itself that needs to be addressed because this is a serious screw up.
