Having other files on a USB other then Kali

Hey! I'm new to the forums! I wanted to install Kali on a USB however the only USB I have currently I use to move files from one computer to another. If I were to install Kali on this USB would I still be able to add files to or take files off of this USB when I am using Windows and not running off the USB? Thanks!(:

why don't you use the other ways to do this. Network cable, some cloud services, google disk, file share or just buy another usb.
No you won't be able to access usb directly from windows w/o some program, because of Kali file system.
And at the end if you need those usb why don't you simply make dual boot on your system.

    Hello everyone ...

Just burning Kali's live image down to your "only" USB, then using gparted to make a fat32 partition (you'll have two of them from this point ..) to do file transfer won't solve the issue?
