need help installing gpu drivers for my nvidia gtx + intel HD 4600 hydbrid

    i own a toshiba qosmio x70-a
    http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/products...specifications

    accordingly i have a 'NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M 3GB (GDDR5)with Optimus + Intel® HD Graphics 4600'

i have tried to install nvidia drivers but there are always various errors during apt-update and nvidia driver installation never works as it says no drivers present.

i was wondering for this specific gpu hybrid, what would i need to do so i can start doing some gpu powered wpa cracking

im rather new at all this.

I tried this code, or rather the individual lines as i couldnt enter them all simultaneously

    Code:
    pt-get update
    apt-get dist-upgrade
    apt-get install -y linux-headers-$(uname -r)
    apt-get install nvidia-kernel-dkms
get update worked fine, dist upgrade worked up till the end where there were errors, then the install ones both did not work at all saying the headers were missing.

is my gpu still capable of working in kali?

if so, what should i do to get it installed?

Also, is there any possible way i can do a windows based wpa *cap crack instead? i tried oclhashcat but it requires nvidia software you have to pay for, ontop of the fact my system wont install it since its not for laptop gpu's

    Thanks

I have attempted to perform a normal update, apt get update and upgrade, but it wouldnt work as my keyring file or somesuch as out of date, after updating it, now, a normal update still wont work, each file gets marked as "HIT" which i asume means something negative.

after running otherwise seemingly successful updates cat /issue says its still kali 1.0

i manually downloaded the nvidia driver and it gives an error as the kernal cannot be found, kernal cannot be downloaded either by any means, i dont know what to do.

I installed My nvidia gtx 670m after this guide. https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...nabled-Laptops

Its for 64-bit system but i think it will work for 32 to.

Just be sure you uninstall all old nvidia drivers you tried 2 install before or you gona get some problem with installing the new driver.
