    Building the main Guest Additions module - crashed

    Hello everyone. We are all excited about Kali Sana
    I installed mine on a virtual box and installation was sucessfull but when I tried to insert the guest additions module and build it.
    it build successfully. But after I reboot. my system crashed. After I log in. it says it crashed.

    any ideas?
    VirtualBox
    Windows 10
    Kali Sana

    Where can I see the boot log to understand what is going on ?

    Did you follow the instructions here? ... http://docs.kali.org/general-use/kal...tual-box-guest. I followed those exactly with no issues.

    I followed exactly. and still crashes after I logged in.

    any suggestions?

    I just did a fresh install. I followed the instructions, installed the headers and then installed the guest additions.
    Still crashes.

    Not sure ... I'm running the latest VirtualBox version on Windows 8.1. Wonder if it has something to do with Windows 10? Have you tried installing in VMWare Player? What about downloading the prebuilt VM from Offensive Security ... https://www.offensive-security.com/k...mage-download/ ?

    I am going to try the prebuilt VM . But what does this mean ? How is this different from the other one?
