Kali Linux 2.0 install issue MacBook PRO mid 2012

    Hello guys,

I'm trying to install Kali Linux amd64 in my MacBook PRO mid 2012 via CD because USB boot block the system in a black screen

If I try to start the Live version, the system reply with a black screen and report this message: "Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)"

If I try to install (graphic mode), the system freezes

    What can I do?

I tried to follow this guide: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...ro-2015-Retina but it doesn't work, I still see black screens

The alternative is to install packages in ubuntu or in another debian-based distribution, but I would use kali linux... someone found a solution?

I found Kali was easier to install using Virtual Box or another VM software. The OS isn't demanding enough to be bootcamped but we each have our own needs I guess. Have you used the regular install method?

Here's a video to help out. It's version 1.1.0 so some of the steps are outdated. Some differences are:
    1. GRUB boot loader has a manual setup option now. Don't do it unless you're familiar with it.
    2. In the /etc/apt/sources.list be sure to have the following 4 sources:

    Hope it helps
