Installing system failed

I am having this problem installing on my desk pc .. i used the manual partitioning disk

+100 GB for the root
8 Gb for the swap (the system decided by itself
and during "install the system" i get error " Installation step failed adn installation setp failed. You can try to run the failing item again from
the menu, or skip it and choose somthinhg else.
The failing set is : install the system."
I have tried this 3 times again. No luck.

I have a similar problem, and i don't want to loose data from my win7, too. But my problem is when I tick Yes for network mirror it gives me error. Failing step bad network mirror.
Probably we need to wait to fix 2.0 version

first you wan't lose data. only if you format windows partition. maybe you can lose boot, but not data.
second don't create manually partitions if you don't know what you are doing. just leave unpartition space on hdd
where you can install Kali

maybe my problem is similar, when i tried to install it on my virtual box, an error message appear: it requires a file, pae. anybody had this before?

zhanzibar: in virtualbox go to settings, system, processor and put a check in "Enable PAE/NX" and you should be able to complete the install.

I'm having a different sort of issue. This black screen with writing is going a million miles a minute when trying to download it.
