Lightbulb Add SnoopSnitch, IMSI catchers and SS7 attack detection

SnoopSnitch is a IMSI catchers and SS7 attack detection tool which works on Qualcomm based devices.

    https://opensource.srlabs.de/projects/snoopsnitch

The App works with the Nexus 5 (Electroactive based Kernel) and should work with Nexus 4 and OnePlus One with there default Kernel.
The Nexus 7 (2013) is Qualcomm based as well, so it might work. If it doesn't work with the default Kernel. Some Kernel changes can help.

    addition:
The DIAG_CHAR device driver needs to be enabled in the Kernel for SnoopSnitch to work:

So only the Nexus 7 [2012] (Mobile) will not work. (from the supported devices with GSM)

This tool is useful to detect IMSI catcher and to demonstrate the problem of SS7 attack and Silent SMS.

    slightly ot
To send silent SMS (e.g. to test if a mobile phone is currently on without the user noticing this) you can use HushSMS (not free or open source). HushSMS supports flash SMS as well, which are displayed on iOS devices as message without the possibility to see how has send it
The Text pops up immediately and the user has only the possibility to click OK. On Android it deepens on the used SMS app how the FlashSMS is displayed.
