Many of us have tried that TP-Link. It does work, but you'll probably be disappointed with the range. If you do the txpower trick to get more power, don't set it any higher than 27 dBi unless you want to kill it. lol
Search Ebay for either of these:
    RT3070
    RT3072
I think you'd like the results.

Based on availability world wide, price, build, and functionality, you have made the right choice. Though one does not prevent the other. I will always have a WN722N in my kit.

    That poll was interesting http://www.blackmoreops.com/2014/01/...ds-kali-linux/

Dear sircolin, I just wanted to mention that this is a very good unit:
    X-Media NE-WN3212D (with Ralink RT 3072 chipset)
I'm sure that running it at 1 watt will not burn it out (30 db).
The cheapest price I see is on Ebay... search for:
    300Mbps HIGH POWER 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi Wireless-N USB Adapter
Note, the right hand antenna is "active" and the left hand antenna is a "reflector", so if you are hooking it up to a big antenna use the RIGHT HAND rp-sma connector.
