Red face Wireless card not being set into monitor mode

Hello everyone.... I am having problems with the new wireless adapter that I bought recently i.e. netis WF2119S with chipset Realtek RTL8188EUS Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter. I am using Kali linux on virtualbox and I can't seemed to create the mon0 using the airmon-ng start wlan0 command and also I can't seemed to be able to change the MAC address using the macchanger command. If any of guys know the solution of the problem then please share your knowledge with me as well.

Maybe your wireless card is not called wlan0 , try using ifconfig to get the name.
