The 2.0 release mentions several desktops that are now natively supported, but everything I found in the forums and google seems to pre-date the release of 2.0
Do I still install MATE using the earlier instructions that are available for 1.x, or does 2.0 provide a different/simpler install mechanism. I did notice a number of MATE packages in the package install GUI, but wasn't sure which ones to choose,

I currently Use Ubuntu MATE 15.04 as my main environment. I run Kali as a guest in Virtualbox, and would like to have the same look and feel, along with the tools I've gotten used to, if that doesn't create any problems for the Kali environment. I would like to keep the Kali background, as a clear visual cue to which environment I'm in.
