live boot kali on surface 3

Hello everyone

I just purchased a surface 3 (not the pro) it currently has windows 10 and I would like to try and live boot from USB kali 2.0

I've tried for the last few days to get it to work following every guide that I could but all I get is either the vmlinuz error or if I try and boot it says something went wrong and won't let me go anywhere from there.

I followed the instructions for creating the EFI/Boot and throwing the grub.cfg grub64.efi and grub.efi

Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I have turned off and on my secure boot multiple times

Any help would be much appreciated

update, still cant get it working now my surface wont boot from usb at all and ive tried atleast 3 different usb installers if I try and boot usb with secure boot enabled it sometimes when it decides to try says invalid signature and when I turn it off it just loads into bitlocker...any help would be really appreciated. also I have tried both 64 and 32 bit as well as full light and mini

with the kali weekly 07-2017 it boots the live system but when i install kali it boots an then the screen turns black short after loging in ;-(
