Kali Linux usename & Password on VirtualBox

Downloaded the latest version of Kali Linux 2.0 from the website , created VM in VirtualBox while running for the first time it asked for username & Password .

Entered--
Username- root
pass - toor

But not working on my side . Just a newbie using linux for first time.

Any help plz

The username is root and the password is the one you setup during the installation.

I installed Kali on vbox as well and had the same issue. I didn't remember setting up a username, but then I saw this post and entered in root as the username with the password I setup during installation and it worked.

i had same trouble as yourself and prat732, i only found you had to use root as the login when i found your post.
doesn't say anything about creating a username during install, just the password creation.
