    Right image for the EfikaMX

For the Efika netbook, the documentation mentions an 'efika image'.
However, the download area has two arm images (none of them called 'efika' any more).
    Should I:
    1. Choose one from these generic images?
    2. Learn to build my own image for Efika?

    Thanks for reading this.

You will need to build the EfikaMX image or find the 1.1.1 image for the EfikaMX - the ARM images are located https://www.offensive-security.com/k...mage-download/ - however, the kernel for the EfikaMX is too old and won't work with Sana (kali 2.0+) due to systemd requiring things that aren't available in the 2.6.31 kernel that it has.

You'd need to clone the kali-arm-build-scripts from https://github.com/offensive-securit...-build-scripts follow the instructions in the readme to clone the proper cross compiler and add it to your path, and then you'd need to modify the efikamx.sh script to point to "moto" instead of "kali" for the repositories.

That will give you a 1.1.1 based image. As a former Genesi employee, it actually pains me that the kernel for the devices is so old, but unfortunately there are things that need to be changed in the kernel, for a mainline kernel to work on it that upstream will not accept.
