Hello. I did a fresh install of Kali 2.0. [Kali 1.10 worked awesome but I'm forced to go to 2.0.] If I run Gnome desktop it freezes but the mouse works. I tried to install the nvidia drivers but that went south and I had to reinstall. Funny how it worked in 1.10 [no I didn't use the same steps for 2.0] I put in cinnamon desktop with the same effects. I put in Mate desktop and it works only in root but sometimes it randomly freezes with the mouse working. Its not my hard drive failing because I have Win7 on the same drive different partition and it just works. Any ideas why its doing that? Any advise besides going to LXDE?
Gigabyte MB 6 core amd am3+ 8GB 1866 ram 2x SLI Ti 550 SSD hard drive.
